| Description: | Ten participants (3 females, 7 males) were recruited to perform the Counter
Movement Jump (CMJ) test. The participants were asked to complete
the test with acceptable form, with their legs bending during
flight, and with a stumble upon landing. The multivariate version
consists of the X,Y and Z accelerometer data measured with a
Shimmer 3 inertial measurement unit (IMU) on their dominant foot,
sampled at 1024Hz.The result is a 3-class time series dataset: 0
means
acceptable form, 1 means legs bending during flight, and
2 means stumble upon landing.
Each participant completed 20 CMJs with acceptable form, 20 jumps
with their legs bending during flight and 20 jumps with a stumble
upon landing. The resulting 3-class dataset consists of 200 files
of IMU data in the acceptable form class and, due to Bluetooth
dropping twice during data collection, 199 files of IMU data in
each of the legs bending and stumble on landing classes. The
length of the IMU time series signals in each file ranged from 1231
to 6710 samples.
The test and train data are split so that the same subject is not
in both. Thus randomly resampling this data is inappropriate, and
fixed resamples of leave one patient out should be formed (a to do
for us). Data was created by Martin O'Reilly and donated by Thach
Le Nguyen, Martin O'Reilly, and Georgiana Ifrim. Converted to ARFF
